Write and erase! Previously, we have played this game with numbers and letters. Now, we have begun playing with CVC words. To play, roll the picture die and write the word on the tuff tray with chalk marker. They filled the tuff tray with CVC words. Then, when the tray was full, we gave them a small container of water and paint brushes. This time, they rolled a die and searched for that word om the tuff tray. This was excellent deciding practice as they read each word looking for the one they rolled. They spent all morning writing and erasing and then washing the tuff tray so that it’s ready to play again tomorrow. 😀 We could have set up the tray with words ahead of time but we love that they did the work of writing the words too.
